Dr. Mariano De Prado
Mariano De Prado is Head of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Surgery at the Quirón Hospital, Murcia, and of the Foot and Ankle Unit at the Ruber International Hospital in Madrid, leading Ripoll & De Prado Sport Clinic FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence hospitals.
Since 1998, he has given courses on percutaneous surgery/minimally invasive surgery of the foot at the University of Barcelona. The courses have been held annually and over one thousand orthopaedic surgeons from around the world have participated in them.
Mariano De Prado is Vice President of the Spanish Society of Foot and Ankle Surgery, European Director of AAFAS and honorary member of a number of international foot and ankle scientific associations.
Each year, numerous international orthopaedic surgery and traumatology societies invite Dr de Prado to participate in dozens of congresses, symposiums, refresher courses and suchlike.
He has published numerous articles, chapters in books and treaties on his speciality, as well as books entitled ‘Cirugía Percutánea del Pie’ (Percutaneous Foot Surgery) in Spanish and Minimally Invasive Foot Surgery in English. These have become leading publications that establish the anatomical bases, the different surgical techniques and the current indications for minimally invasive and percutaneous foot surgery.
